Linnae hand felts this darling collection out of 100% alpaca fibre
that is grown, processed and hand dyed here on our farmstead.
 
They feature a number of adorable options including a variety of colours; fur trim of mink, fox, or Persian lamb; and a unique selection of genuine leather as laces for the Booties as well as for the sole to give Baby extra grip and durrability when learning to stand or walk! The hat and mitts have soft closure strings made from alpaca, as well as a mitten string to ensure they do not get lost, and the hat is topped off with a luxurious pom-pom of fine fur!

Alpaca Facts:
-Alpaca fibres are nearly completely hollow, whereas wool contains only pockets of air. This additional space creates greater thermal capacity.
-Alpaca is said to be three times warmer than wool.
-Since it lacks lanolin, it is considered to be hypoallergenic.
-Water resistant
-Equivalent softness, more warmth and higher wicking properties than merino wool.
-Alpaca has one of the highest tensile strengths of any natural fibre, second only to silk and some bast fibres (such as hemp and linen).
-Lower tendency to shrink than wool and cashmere.
-Historically, an Incan man's wealth was counted in textiles made from alpaca fibre.
