The last few days have been full of action!
Papa harvesting our oat crop with all of us tagging along.
Growing, harvesting and eating Linnae's oyster mushrooms...
Doing the last honey extraction of the year - a bonus of 10 gallons from the blossomed second-cut alfalfa! Hallelujah!
Eating, drying, canning and making ketchup with all of our tomatoes.
These jars are filled with lacto-fermenting tomatoes.
Butchering our beef cow, Flora.
Jenny tanning the hide.
Sarah and Simon were emptying the casings while Julia and Charles flushed them out!
Preparing Flora's 250 lbs of fat for the freezer and future rendering.
We even had our own little cheese party :)
Here's a picture of a supper from last week - all from our land (minus the oatmeal on the mock sweet potato pie).
And here's breakfast...
And the hawthorn berries are nearly ready to pick.
"And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land,
even a land that floweth with milk and honey."
Deuteronomy 26:9
