This gorgeous buffalo rug is completely hand crafted using the traditional methods of smoke, brains and oil, and is done with love and respect for the animal.
It takes incredible expertise and much physical labour to turn one of these huge, heavy hides - that would otherwise be wasted and thrown out to rot - into something soft, beautiful, and woodsy-smelling. It is an intriguing process that dates back thousands of years and is sadly being lost in our modern culture.
